Terms and conditions
Thank you for choosing to work with Shirley Joffe, Simply Balanced Ltd. We congratulate you for taking the first step towards your journey of self discovery and we are committed to providing the best service possible.
In order to gain the most from your session(s), please read and sign the agreement below. Please do get in touch if you are unclear of any of the provisions below.
This agreement is entered into on the invoice date by Shirley Joffe, Simply Balanced Ltd and yourself as the named client.
By signing this agreement, you agree to the following provisions:
1. Outline of agreement
1.1 Shirley Joffe, Simply Balanced Ltd agrees to provide the session/package that you have chosen.
1.2 The session may include the use of meditational modalities.
1.3 You must be at least 18 years old to purchase any of the services provided by Shirley Joffe, Simply Balanced Ltd.
1.4 Your package is valid for 6 months from the invoice date of this agreement.
1.5 You agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement.
2. What to expect during a session
2.1 An appointment will typically begin by the practitioner asking for your permission to connect to your energy. You will then be asked what it is you would like to work on or if there is a planned
schedule, you will start there. If you have nothing specific to work on, you might be asked, “If you could change anything in your life right now, what would it be?”
2.2 Meditational techniques have been used to support a wide variety of physical and emotional
issues. A typical appointment often includes an intuitive scan and belief work. The practitioner will teach you to use a muscle testing technique, to see what beliefs you have that may trigger the area you are seeking to work on.
2.3 Nothing is changed without your permission and the practitioner will ask your explicit permission for every belief change that is carried out.
2.4 If you have chosen an online package, the sessions will be recorded and sent to you following each session. Please let the practitioner know if have any objections to your sessions being recorded.
2.5 The practitioner may use essential oil and incense during the session. If you are not comfortable with its use please let your practitioner know prior to the start of the session.
2.6 Please note that you may continue to feel shifts of energy for a number of days after your session. The experience is different for each individual and we suggest that you maintain a good self-care routine following the session.
2.7 Any information provided by the practitioner is for guidance purposes only and must not be taken as advice or a guarantee of any outcome.
3.1 In exchange for the service, you agree to pay the price as stated at the time of booking.
3.2 The total amount is due no later than 7 days before the date of your first session. Your session/package may be canceled if you do not make payment within the specified time.
3.3 You are responsible for the total fee as stated at the time of booking, regardless of whether or not you attend all the sessions (subject to clause 4.2 of this agreement).
3.4 You authorise Shirley Joffe, Simply Balanced Ltd to process payment by way of credit card, bank transfer, cash, or to initiate payment by Stripe.
3.5 Payment plans may be arranged at the discretion of Shirley Joffe, Simply Balanced Ltd. If we agree to payment by way of a payment plan, a supplementary admin fee will be charged.
3.6 If you fail to make any of the payments on the date due, you will be invoiced for the whole of the outstanding balance.
4. Cancellation/requests to reschedule
4.1 If you wish to cancel your session/package, you can do this by emailing us at
4.2 If you cancel with at least 14 days notice prior to the session, you will be given the option to reschedule your session or to receive a refund. If we have incurred any reasonable costs, the money already paid may not be refundable.
4.3 If you cancel with less than 14 days notice any money you have paid may not be refundable.
4.4 Any requests to reschedule a session must be made with at least 48 hours notice. You may forfeit any session if you fail to notify us of your request to reschedule within 48 hours of your agreed session and you will not be entitled to a refund or to reschedule.
4.5 It is important that you arrive on time for your session as you may not receive the full time allocated if you are late.
4.6 If due to exceptional circumstances, your practitioner needs to cancel a session, you will be notified as soon as possible and an alternative date will be provided. If you are unable to attend any of the alternative dates provided then you will be entitled to a refund.
5. Results and guarantees
5.1 Shirley Joffe, Simply Balanced Ltd does not guarantee any results or make any health claims.
5.2 Although the selected modality has great benefits, results are dependent on a number of factors including, but not limited to your commitment to the session, participation and existing health conditions.
5.3 Testimonials and examples provided are not intended to represent or guarantee that you will achieve the same or similar results.
5.4 Shirley Joffe, Simply Balanced Ltd does not provide medical, legal, investment or business advice. All opinions are provided for your consideration and should not be solely relied upon. It is your responsibility to obtain professional advice.
6.1 In order to experience the full benefits of the session, you must not to drink alcohol, consume any illegal drugs or tobacco for at least 48 hours before or during the session.
6.2 Shirley Joffe, Simply Balanced Ltd does not claim to heal, treat or cure any health conditions and you must continue to take any prescribed medication throughout the entire duration of the session.
6.3 You must inform us of any health conditions you have which may impact on your ability to participate in the session.
6.4 Clothing must be worn at all times during the session.
6.5 The use of meditational modalities may require the practitioner to place their hands on appropriate parts of the body. If you are not comfortable with this then you must advise the practitioner prior to the start of the session.
6.6 The exercises included as part of your session may involve the use of gentle breathing or physical movement.
6.7 It is your responsibility to advise the practitioner prior to the start of the session of any injuries or health conditions you have which may impact on your ability to participate in the session.
6.8 In order to experience the full benefits of the sessions you understand that you must communicate honestly and be open to receiving feedback.
7. Reasonable use of equipment
7.1 During the session we may use equipment which requires specific handling and you must take reasonable care at all times during the session to ensure your safety.
7.2 You will be liable to reimburse Shirley Joffe, Simply Balanced Ltd for if you cause any accidental or deliberate damage to any equipment.
7.3 Shirley Joffe, Simply Balanced Ltd will not be liable for any injury or loss which is caused by your negligence.
8. Off-site sessions
8.1 There may be occasions where an off-site session is agreed by you and the practitioner at an alternative location. Please note that you may be charged an additional fee to cover room hire and travel costs.
8.2 You will be responsible for all travel and subsistence costs as these are not included in the fee.
8.3 You must take reasonable care to ensure your safety and security for the entire duration of the session.
9.1 The techniques used during the session and any materials used are subject to copyright and you must not reproduce or distribute the content without written permission from Shirley Joffe, Simply Balanced Ltd.
10. Force Majeure
10.1 If, as a result of an act of God, force majeure, public emergency, restriction imposed by law or for any other cause beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to provide services to you, we shall not be in breach of this agreement but shall be authorised to substitute a reasonably satisfactory date and time to provide services.
10.2 If no such time is available, the remainder of the fees due for any service(s) that have not yet been provided will be waived.
10.3 We shall not be liable for inability to provide services or fulfil the agreement in those circumstances.
11.1 Shirley Joffe, Simply Balanced Ltd reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any point if we feel that you are being disruptive, are acting in breach of the law, or are in violation of this agreement. All fees will become payable by you upon termination of this agreement.
12.1 Confidential information refers to any data or information relating to you, whether business or personal:
– which would reasonably be considered to be private or proprietary to you;
– that is not generally known, and;
– where the release of that confidential information could reasonably be expected to cause harm to you.
12.2 Shirley Joffe, Simply Balanced Ltd agrees that we will not disclose, divulge, reveal, report or use, for any purpose, any confidential information which we have obtained, except as authorised by you or as required by law. The obligations of confidentiality will apply for the duration of the session and will survive indefinitely upon termination of this agreement.
12.3 All written and oral information and material disclosed or provided by you to us under this agreement is confidential information regardless of whether it was provided before or after the date of this agreement or how it was provided to us.
13.1 We are committed to providing the best service possible. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the service, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
13.2 We will look into your complaint and where you have a genuine concern, we will endeavour to resolve the issue.
14. Governing Law
14.1 This Agreement shall be interpreted, construed and enforced in accordance with English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
15. Entire Agreement
15.1 This Agreement is the entire agreement and understanding between Shirley Joffe, Simply Balanced Ltd and you and supersedes any prior agreement or understanding whether oral or written relating to this Agreement.
